What are Holistic Therapies?
Holistic therapies are based around the principle of healing the person as a whole, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually also. Every one of us is made up of interdependent parts, if one is not working properly, than all of the others will be negatively affected.
There are different approaches designed to complement conventional medicine or offer an alternative option. Holistic therapies include, but are not limited to, Reiki, Reflexology and Kinesiology.
Holistic therapies have been around for thousands of years. Hippocrates, the father of holistic medicine, believed that health was restored by facilitating a state of equilibrium within the essences of the human body. That is what holistic practitioners do today, work with individuals to help restore balance in themselves as a whole to achieve a long term result and not just a short term solution.
What can I expect?
I will work with you to design your own personal plan of action, depending on your needs and requirements. There is a range of holistic therapies available, and different ones are more effective for each individual person.
Our first step will be to identify the most appropriate approach for you. This is achieved through a variety of ways, from our initial discussion, to listening to your body and acting on what it says it needs.
